Why should you change to stainless steel 316

Why should you change to stainless steel 316

Customer question:

Please confirm both equivalent to Destaco 630M: SS304, and SS316

See photo of ENP that become rusty of Destaco:

poor the quality of Destaco
witness the poor quality of Destaco

Our answer:

In aggressive environments: the best is to seek advice, but probably 316 grade is better.

Though the stainless steel 304 alloy has good resistance, grade 316 has better resistance to chemicals and chlorides (like salt) than grade 304 stainless steel. When it comes to applications with chlorinated solutions or exposure to salt, grade 316 stainless steel is considered superior.

The HTC‐630‐LH‐SS‐316 is an exact equivalent to Destaco 630M

The HTC‐630‐LH‐SS is 304 grade.

The HTC‐630‐LH‐SS-ENP is with ENP coating.
